Be heard – and come join a community of likeminded small business people.

Our Objectives

To provide advocacy and lobbying on behalf of members to Local and State Governments. To learn of and speak to the issues and limitations small businesses face with a view to promoting positive change. A good advocate is one that is heard, that is prepared to step up and speak the difficult message to local and State Government. The Confederation of Greater Hobart Business Ltd will utilise the political and news cycles, will be visible regularly in the media and contribute regularly to social media. It is expected that we will contribute to formation of policy relevant to small business function.

To provide regular monthly low-cost networking events in each municipality. By increasing personal networks for the business person the capacity for increased support, understanding and over increased resilience for our members by learning and working with each other is possible.

To obtain information on local issues and ideas from members by either direct communication or regular short surveys. A chamber can only act on information it is provided, our aim is to ensure that the communication channels are both open and welcoming – so the best and most relevant data is collected in good.
